AK Law Firm is Hiring a Pre Lit Attorney Near Houston, TX
As our Pre-Litigation Managing Attorney, you will be the backbone of the pre-litigation department. Every pre-lit department, including Intake, Case Management, Records, and Negotiations / Settlement will rely on your experience and business acumen to improve our processes, receive the appropriate direction on how to handle cases, and keep up high morale daily. You'll be at the helm of our business development and growth, providing strategies and oversight to the team and making every day an opportunity to improve. You'll serve as a conduit between management and staff, developing excellent working relationships with both. You'll need to work equally effectively in a team and working alone.Duties and Responsibilities:
Overseeing all pre-litigation departments, from Intake to Settlement.
Negotiate pre-litigation cases to assist the negotiator in meeting settlement goals.
Handle initial Attorney/client introduction calls after sign-up with new clients.
Meet with clients, as needed, to assist with escalated matters, legal questions, and upset clients.
Review/approve written statements and/or assist the pre-litigation team as needed in case review and decision-making.
Help set and meet daily and quarterly goals and directives to meet the goals.
Preparing detailed, analytics-driven reports about the progress and health of the firm
Identifying operational inefficiencies and developing action plans to improve efficiency
Managing the day-to-day business of the pre-lit department while balancing the responsibilities of various business lines such as business analysis, vendor management, and risk management
Identify and implement pre-lit department tools to streamline new or existing practices, as well as manage design, rollout, and training for new systems.
Assist with budget matters and optimizing workflows within the pre-lit department.
Set specific quarterly and annual goals and initiatives for the pre-lit department.
Report directly to the COO on all matters related to the pre-lit department production areas of improvement.
Assist the COO and CEO as needed by digesting, communicating, and following up on accountability related to all pre-lit departments and associated Leadership teams, including Supervisors and Leads of the pre-lit departments.
Requirements:
Attorney licensed to practice in the state of Texas
Bilingual preferred, but not required.
At minimum 3-5 years recent plaintiffs’ personal injury experience
At least 3-5 years recent leadership experience, preferably managing or leading professionals in a plaintiffs personal injury firm
Filevine experience a big plus
