The Loop Factor is Hiring a Remote Workday Payroll Configurator

The Loop Factor is seeking a candidate to serve as a configurator as part of the RAPID (Rapid Agile Product Innovation & Development) team for our client. This person will primarily focus on payroll functionality within Workday and should be able to provide support across the Workday Payroll Configurator product as needed. This position is 98% remote, but the candidate may have to come in the office for meetings on an as needed basis. The onsite location is Washington, DC. This position is schedule from June 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024, with potential for extension.

The RAPID Workday Payroll and Advanced Compensation members are comprised of cross functional configurators, integration/reporting technologists, and business-line representatives from DFM, and PSO (People, Strategy, & Operations) and TS (Technology Services) both in the Division of Management. This position sits within DFM (Payroll is within DFM). The RAPID teams follow a four-week sprint cycle and follow a Scrum Agile methodology.

  1. Responsibilities
  • Works with and may lead technical and business subject matter experts to implement

process changes required by SaaS system upgrades before the changes are placed in

production.

  • Works with and may lead technical and business subject matter experts to analyze

process improvement opportunities, reduce process cycle times, and recommend changes

to bring the Board in line with industry best practices.

  • Documents process changes, develops training materials, and conducts user training.
  • Ensures all documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Performs and assists end users and technical resources in system configuration activities,

application, integration and report testing, and ecosystem quality issues.

  • Provides expertise in human capital management (including payroll) automation and

provides consultation and technical support to users.

  • Troubleshoots system and process difficulties including research and testing to resolve

issues.

  • Tests new and/or enhanced automation to ensure changes don’t negatively impact the

division’s continued ability to perform the Board’s essential missions.

  • Other duties as assigned.
  1. Required Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of enterprise resource planning (ERP), HCM and Advanced Compensation implementation, and upgrade experience as a configurator
  • Must have led implementations specific to HCM, Core Compensation and/or Advanced Compensation.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.

  1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Detailed understanding of ERP System concepts and general module functionality.
  • Experience with Workday Configuration including Advanced Compensation.
  • Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies. Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Leads the planning, analysis, design and configuration of Workday Advanced Compensation systems on an enterprise-wide basis or across a major sector of the enterprise.
  • Collects, analyzes information requirements and analytically and systematically evaluates problems of workflows, organization, and planning, and develops appropriate corrective action for configuration.
  • Detailed understanding of ERP System concepts and general module functionality.
  • Knowledge and execution of Workday project management methodologies. Business

analysis and requirements gathering abilities.

  • Experience working on agile teams and with Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes, preference of experience with

ServiceNow Agile module and knowledge of HRSD.

  • Strong analytical, research and conceptual-thinking skills to visualize solutions to a wide
  • variety of HR needs.
