Rehab Group, a leader in the rehabilitation community, is seeking an experienced Medical Office Multi-Duty Receptionist for our outpatient physical therapy clinic in Dandridge, TN. This is a full-time opportunity: M, W, TH, & F 8am - 5pm and Tu 8am - 12pm -(with the potential to work 8am - 5pm if candidate has experience in AR retrieval)

Responsibilities for Receptionist: (List does not include all duties assigned)

• Greets patients and checks-in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the medical records/database, performs all registration functions and collects copays and balances due as appropriate.
• Is customer service oriented. Understands insurance (pre-certs, benefits, referral needs, etc)
• Maintains computerized scheduling and follows office scheduling policies.
• Files charts and coordinates paperwork as requested.
• Answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages, and provides appropriate information to phone callers as well as handling outgoing phone calls as appropriate (e.g., appointment confirmations, referral calls, pre-certs, etc.)
• Assists with charge entry, and /or coding issues, and other related work if requested.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation needed to process patient information along with the ability to file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric processes.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
