TYM North America, Inc is Hiring a HR Training, Development & Recruiting Specialist Near Rome, GA

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Training, Development, & Recruiting Specialist that is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and development programs within the organization. In addition, the individual will be responsible for recruiting initiatives, and acting as a back-up to activities such as payroll and employee relations. This position is based in Rome, GA and will serve as support to the Human Resources Manager and other team members.

Job Functions:

  • Conduct through needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR Manager to understand organizational goals and align training initiatives accordingly.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs that address identified needs.
  • Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and other resources.
  • Ensure training programs align with company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and seminars
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements based on feedback.
  • Develop and manage onboarding programs to ensure new employees receive comprehensive training on company culture, policies, and job-specific tasks.
  • Consults with hiring manager to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social medica, networking, and industry events, to identify and attract potential candidates. 
  • Screens candidates, selects qualified, and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with hiring managers.
  • Checks candidates’ references and credentials, verifying experience, and backgrounds.
  • Serves as a back-up on processing/reconciliation of multi-state payroll in coordination with service provider. 
  • Provide support in creating performance improvement plans and addressing skill deficiencies.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and diligence.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related work experience.
  • At least two years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift fifteen (15) pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
