Responsibilities: * Be the primary caregiver for up to 20 children in a classroom * Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times * Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development * Demonstrate the understanding of child developmental milestones at the mental, physical, social and emotional levels and timely identify any developmental blocks * Communicate daily with families about their child(ren) adding personal touches as needed * Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children * Establish a professional level of care with each family in order to provide quality care and family partnerships. * Supervise the classroom and ensure all program policies are implemented * Plan daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children * Conduct child assessments and facilitate parent-teacher conferences * Be responsible for daily sheets and the daily activities pertaining to their day * Maintain a professional self-image, attitude and work behavior at all times Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * 45 hour DCF Trainings * First Aid CPR Certified * Lead teachers must have at least one of the below requirements: * Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field. * Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field. * Child Development Associate (CDA) * Staff Credential * VPK teachers must meet all of Florida VPK required certifications
