This position will use their skillset to wind the coils used in distribution transformers while considering the values and goals of Power Partners.
Responsibilities:Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions with regards to the operation of winding coils. Ensure safe and proper start-up, operation, and shut-down of equipment. Repeatedly lift/move material that is 50 lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices. Handle material, use hand/power tools. Ensure conformity of coils to standards. Follow all safety polices and procedures.
Qualifications: Follow, communicate, and understand written and verbal instructions;
Use an iPad or other electronic communication device;
Use of organizational skills and attention to detail;
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions;
Demonstrate proper lifting techniques;
Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials;
Use measuring devices such as tape measures and micrometers;
Use hand/power tools such as Allen wrenches, electric shears, soldering torches, and hammers;
Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment;
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 75 lbs.;
Frequent standing and walking is necessary and operation of foot controls;
Occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling;
20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus;
Must comply with all plant safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules;
Must be able to wear all required PPE including, but not limited to: safety toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
