Job Purpose
Responsible for conducting testing to ensure product complies with quality standards. QA Techs will follow work instructions as well as company and quality policies to perform their job in a timely and efficient manner. QA Techs will work with production and production supervisors to identify quality issues and to make sure only good product makes it to the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Set up and perform multiple quality tests according to Control Plan, and Procedures
· Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, calibration standards, gram weight scales and microscope
· Verify calibration of mechanical measurement tools
· Measure Samples accurately and timely
· Approve first good sample after production startup
· Enter statistical data and compile reports as necessary
· Ensure that scheduled inspections are performed timely and accurately
· Assist with updating work instructions
· 5S Quality lab and other areas of responsibility
· Work safely while handling and cutting glass
· Maintains the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
· Commit to continual improvement of the environment through SSA’s suggestion program, protecting the environment and improving our environmental performance by supporting our environmental management system’s targets and objectives.
· Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations and relevant compliance obligations related to the environmental aspects of SSA.
· Comply with SSA’s Zero Emissions program.
· Agree to prevent injury incidents by observing established working rules, following the directions of managers/supervisors, practicing the principles taught in safety training and providing ideas so our safety management system is improved continuously.
· Comply with all federal, state, and local occupational health and safety laws, regulations and relevant compliance obligations related to the occupational health and safety aspects of SSA.
· Comply with all other relevant employment laws and regulations.
