City of Lake Oswego is Hiring a Maintenance Technician (LORAC) Near Oswego, OR
The City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department is seeking applications for a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of semi-skilled to skilled duties related to the maintenance and repair of equipment and infrastructure at the future Lake Oswego Recreation and Aquatics Center (LORAC), set to open in fall of 2024. The LORAC will be the future headquarters for the Department and will be home to a variety of activities such as aquatics, fitness, enrichment, events, sports and golf.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs routine maintenance, installation, repair, and cleaning of equipment, systems, and infrastructure common to a recreation and aquatics center.Supports LORAC staff and responds to staff requests for equipment repair and troubleshooting.Performs carpentry, pvc pipe work, and painting.Works with and provides directions to contractors and vendors.Maintains motors, pumps and valves in a variety of types and sizes.Performs work on chemical storage and delivery systems.Prepares and maintains various reports, worksheets, plans, correspondence, graphs and work orders; enters data into data management systems; reviews documents and data input for accuracy and integrity.Responds to and resolves complaints or issues. Provides information and/or training and education related to support area.Monitors supply, parts, and equipment inventory levels and ensures adequate resources. Initiates requisitions, tracks purchases and inventory; receives orders; ships materials; and ensures quality of materials or equipment upon receipt.Participates in troubleshooting and finding solutions to mechanical or design problems.Operates equipment such as Forklift with City provided training and certification.Performs other duties of a similar nature and level.
