Small law firm practicing in areas of estate planning, probate and adult guardianships in the Summerlin Area of Las Vegas seeks a legal assistant to help with document preparation, document management, scheduling, simple bookkeeping, court filings, meetings with clients, working with banks and title companies on transitions of ownership of accounts and properties and other office duties. Being a good writer, organized, and detailed are essential skills for this position. Overall proficiency with Microsoft Office and some basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel is also required. Prior office experience with a law office or accounting would be very helpful but necessary. Experience with litigation would be very helpful, but not necessary. Experience with QuickBooks or some other accounting software would also be helpful. Notwithstanding, we are willing to train a candidate who shows promise as being a quick learner and good with people. This office is a convenient, friendly and flexible office environment with varied and interesting work. We will be willing to consider a part-time schedule for the right applicant. This could be a good opportunity for a parent of school-age children who needs some flexibility of schedule.
