Job Title: Commercial Roofing Safety Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Roofing Safety Manager to join our team and lead our safety initiatives.
Position Overview:
The Commercial Roofing Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs for all commercial roofing projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of safety regulations, and the ability to effectively communicate safety policies and procedures to employees at all levels.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
· Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, supervisors, and field personnel on safety-related matters, including hazard recognition, fall protection, equipment operation, and emergency response.
· Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as necessary.
· Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety into project planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
· Lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and other educational programs to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop root cause analyses and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training activities, incident reports, and other safety-related documentation.
· Stay abreast of changes in safety regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and ensure that safety programs are updated accordingly.
· Serve as a liaison between management, employees, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders on safety-related matters.
· Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to track progress, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· Conduct regular safety meetings with management and field personnel to discuss safety performance, address concerns, and reinforce the importance of safety culture.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, with specific experience in commercial roofing highly preferred.
· OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification required; OSHA 500 or equivalent preferred.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant safety guidelines.
· Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate employees at all levels.
· Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs.
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
