Position Overview:

KGI is seeking a PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work on a federal project alongside a growing team of engineers. A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 with proven experience implementing, supporting, and developing in a federal environment. He/she will demonstrate and apply technical and functional expertise in PeopleSoft 9.2 in support of the financial program of a large government agency. He/she will also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers as well as less technical team members (e.g., project managers, customers, executive teams).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and functional knowledge and skills in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.
  • Support enterprise-wide application transformation efforts by understanding present-day application architectures and recommending equivalent PeopleSoft architectures where applicable.
  • Analyze stakeholder user requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules.
  • Work with team members, as needed, to scope, design, develop, test, implement, support, and enhance PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules.
  • Collaborate with project manager(s) and team members to architect new and optimize existing PeopleSoft solutions that solve implementation issues and exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicate with project manager(s) to interpret customer requirements.
  • Code and unit test application software

Requirements:

  • 8 years' experience implementing supporting modules in a PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 environment, preferably within a government deployment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong functional and technical expertise in one or more of the following PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules: Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time and Labor, Absence Management, or Talent Management.
  • Significant experience in analyzing stakeholder requirements and translating them into functional/technical specifications.
  • Strong federal accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 configuration tools, such as PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleSoft Data Mover, and PeopleSoft Process Scheduler.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized
  • S. citizenship required - must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology
  • JIRA/Confluence
  • Hands-on experience in cloud transformation efforts
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure certification(s) a plus.
