Job Description
- Perform a broad range of activities related to the development of plans for road and bridge construction.
- Performing such activities will include:
- Research assignments requiring the use of Microsoft office software.
- Keeping project records.
- Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI GIS computer software.
- Civil drafting.
- Field survey and property description interpretation.
- Computations including quantity takeoff.
- Operating various reproduction equipment, and other special work.
- Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
- Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
- Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
Special Experience/Education
- This position requires a high school diploma with knowledge in algebra and geometry sufficient to perform calculations related to assigned duties.
- Drafting and computer skills required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of technical experience commensurate with the duties described above is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
