Revenue Cycle Specialist (Independent Contractor)Remote, Anywhere in the US

About the role

AnswersNow is looking to bring on a Revenue Cycle Specialist as an independent contractor to coordinate and perform a variety of operations duties required for revenue cycle management. You will interact extensively with families, health plans, doctor’s offices, and clinical departments and leadership and will contribute significantly to the Company’s mission of delivering ABA therapy to every family who wants it by facilitating verification of benefits, obtaining medical records and authorizations, as well as other revenue cycle responsibilities.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with families to ensure complete and accurate details for insurance and diagnosis.
  • Initiate insurance verification of benefits for ABA therapy services.
  • Work with doctor’s offices to collect patient medical records to help AnswersNow secure authorization for ABA services. This will include understanding health plan requirements for diagnostic paperwork.
  • Update and maintain client insurance and diagnostic information in the portal.
  • Access multiple health plan portals for insurance purposes including benefits and authorizations.
  • Secure and manage client authorization for ABA therapy throughout their treatment journey.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant experience in ABA authorizations preferred
  • 1 year of previous ABA work experience is preferred
  • 1 year of previous VOB, medical records experience is required

Contract Terms

  • This is an independent contractor position.
  • Contract length: 6 months, with opportunity to transition into W2 employee (full-time)
  • Hours: 30-40 hours per week
  • Compensation: $25-30/hour
