The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center is Hiring a Respiratory Therapist - Hospital (Part-Time) Near Pittsburgh, PA

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Part-Time Respiratory Therapist to provide educational needs to the staff in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Educator for the Pediatric Specialty Hospital and Child's Way. The Respiratory Therapist will perform all modalities of respiratory care to support the patients and families in collaboration with the nursing staff.

This position will work three 8 hour shifts per week.

Minimum Skills and Abilities Required:

Five years of respiratory therapy experience. Pediatric experience preferred with knowledge of home respiratory equipment.
Possess current licensure to practice respiratory therapy in the state of Pennsylvania.
Current CPR certification required.
PALS certification preferred.
Analytical ability to evaluate patient care, assist with complex technical respiratory care problems, and assist in the development of policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with medical staff, family members and all levels of personnel of The Children's Home of Pittsburgh.
Emotional and mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the daily pressures of stressful and/or emergency situations.
