Father Flanagan's Boys' Home is Hiring a Remote Ministry Coordinator

Assists and supports the National Director of Mission and Spirituality in the day-to-day operations of Boys Town ministries and ensures the smooth coordination of various religious or ministry-related activities and programs on Home Campus and at Boys Town Affiliate Sites. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Collaborates with ministry leaders to implement ministry plans and initiatives. Participates in team meetings, provides input on ministry goals, and contributes to decision-making processes. Acts as liaison between National Director and other internal and external resources to meet the diverse religious/spiritual needs of the youth. Plans and coordinates ministry events, including meetings, retreats, conferences, and outreach programs to include coordinating logistics, securing venues, arranging catering, and overseeing event execution. Maintains accurate records and documentation related to ministry activities, including maintaining calendars, attendance records, program evaluations, and participant feedback. Manages communication channels within the ministry, including email newsletters, social media accounts, and website updates. Ensures timely and effective communication with ministry members, volunteers, and the broader community. Assists the National Director in managing ministry resources, including budgets, supplies, and equipment. Tracks expenses, processes invoices, and maintains accurate financial records. Work directly with youth of all faith backgrounds during retreats, services and other ministry-related events. Connects external resources in the community with Youth Care Programs to meet the needs of youth. Provides educational opportunities to Youth Care staff to meet the diverse faith needs of the youth. Manages and oversees youth-related events and adheres to safety protocols. Acts as liaison with Successful Futures and other Boys Town departments to provide resources for programs and departments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledgeable and ability to understand the diverse faith needs of Boys Town youth and families. Ability to respond calmly and confidently in crisis situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to represent Boys Town at community events and trainings and professionally disseminate information to Boys Town Staff. Excellent interpersonal and project management skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time while maintaining quality standards. Good communication and presentation skills including the ability to build effective relationships. Ability to influence and communicate across all organizational levels while maintaining confidentiality as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human services, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 5 year of experience working with troubled youth and/or youth ministry required. Experience leading, facilitating and training staff and/or volunteers required.
