JOB SUMMARY: The VP of Facility Operations reports directly to the EVP of Venue Operations & Guest Experience. The VP is responsible for the overall building operations for multiple locations including Globe Life Field, Choctaw Stadium and various other off-site owned locations. Facility Operations includes maintenance, engineering, facility services and complex grounds. The role also manages venue operations at Choctaw Stadium and major events held at Globe Life Field. Will manage building operations staff, budgets, contracts and provide special event support when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Manage the venue ops team responsible for setting up GLF concourses and work with Promotions, Partnerships, Marketing and other departments to ensure we adhere to COA codes and industry standards related to pedestrian flow and experience

  • Manage operational signage program at GLF and Choctaw Stadium

  • Manage department leads for the following departments: Maintenance and Engineering Services, Facility Services, Complex Grounds and Venue Operations. 

  • Manage the overall appearance, general operation and repair of the venues and complex

  • Partner with the Business Analytics team and analyze data with an eye on identifying inefficiencies and work with the individual department heads to review and suggest changes if needed

  • Be the POC for projects within the Venue Operations departments (i.e. 24/7 software integrations, Concur Invoicing, etc.)

  • Be the Venue Operations POC for events held at Choctaw Stadium to ensure a positive working relationship between all venue operations departments, event operations team (REV), and Event client (as necessary)

  • POC for city and state licensing and inspections (elevators, fuel tanks, etc.)

  • Prepares, monitors and analyzes financial reports, budgets and capital expenditures related to Facility Operations.

  • Plans, organizes and measures quality results and meets with department leads to ensure procedures and processes are being followed in order to operate efficiently and effectively

  • Set building performance standards

  • Investigate, analyze and resolve operational problems, complaints and emergency repairs in a timely and efficient manner

  • Work with the real estate management team and ensure a positive working relationship between them and the tenants occupying space in the Centerfield office building, as well as other redeveloped spaces in and around the venues

  • Manage and analyze service contracts, 3rd party contracts for venue operations department

  • Research, create RFPs and bid processes for department purchases and services. Foster positive relationships with vendors

  • Collect, prepare and communicate department expenses and costs for non-Rangers events

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the EVP, Venue Operations and Guest Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, and 8-10 years related experience in the public assembly industry (stadiums, arenas). 

  • Experience managing and leading facility operations teams, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility

  • Experience in contract negotiations, budget preparation, contracts, and purchasing procedures.

  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, tenants, guests, and others

  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach

  • Analytical thinker, data driven and creative mind set.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.

  • Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays

  • Positive attitude, detail oriented, forward thinker and team builder
