POSITION SUMMARY The Benefits & Retirement Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of administrative and organizational tasks, which includes high level support to the Benefits and Retirement teams. The main duties will be to support functional areas of benefits and retirement administration, HRIS, employee and resort communications, and special projects to ensure compliance with policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations. The Benefits & Retirement Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the administration of critical benefits throughout the employee lifecycle. This position will be responsible for drafting and maintaining standard operating procedures for key processes within Benefits. This role will assist in the oversight of the monthly HR payments to providers/vendors, monthly reconciliation of all benefit related general ledger accounts. The position requires a pro-active, self-starter with the ability to accurately and confidentially handle sensitive information who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. The Benefits & Retirement Coordinator will receive direction from the Sr. Manager, Benefits, Sr. Benefits Analyst, and Retirement Program Manager to assist with the administration and development of company benefits, and general HR functions. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB DUTIES Manages integration files between internal and external systems to ensure successful 401(k) election uploads and accurate transmission of demographic data. Completes retirement plan audits to ensure match is properly being credited, deferral elections are accurate, and all employees are properly vested. Processes biweekly 401(k) and non-qualified plan uploads to our recordkeeper and reconciles any discrepancies. Works with the Benefits Team on administration of Canadian and U.S. Health and Welfare company-wide benefit plans. Acts as primary Freshservice contact for all benefits and retirement service tickets and resort escalations. Ensures issues and corrections are resolved in an accurate and timely manner all while providing excellent customer service. Ensures the timely and accurate payment of all benefits and retirement invoices in coordination with the accounts payable and procurement teams. Assists with benefits and retirement communications by participating in material development, editing documents, updating internal websites and channels. Assists with all Open Enrollment activities for the U.S. and Canada. This includes, but is not limited to, running reports for renewal, communications, vendor updates/changes, audits and any other related items. Maintains monthly ACA compliance processes throughout the organization. This includes auditing benefits eligibility monthly reports for resort locations, providing ACA eligibility updates, and assisting in the annual tax reporting to the IRS. Responsible for the administration of HSA and FSA enrollments, contributions, and reporting. Coordinate with employees and local resort resources on leaves of absence. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. General HR experience preferred but not required. The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mountain Company Shared Services Inc. hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mountain Company Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits. Denver area base hourly pay range: $21.15 - $29.33 per hour.
