MOCA Systems is Hiring a Construction Project Manager (w/ Estimating Experience) Near Arlington, VA
- Participates in meetings for the purpose of monitoring and reporting on the status of the cost, scope, and schedule of the project.
- Performs as “owner representative’ and plays a meaningful role in developing construction cost estimates for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
- Works with other estimators and project cost analysts in preparing recommendations, determining scope of work, reviewing change orders, and making recommendations to clients,
- Participates in negotiating contracts, monitoring budgeting and cost control, ensures scope control, and general quality control of all assigned technical projects / planning of new construction projects.
- Reviews project schedule to confirm validity and accuracy.
- Manages project communications and documentation.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry standards and trends.
- Coordinates stakeholder interaction both internally and externally.
- Develops master program schedules and manages to that schedule.
- Reviews and reports on project status.
- Coordinates and participates project meetings.
- Visits project sites to evaluate progress and identify and help to resolve issues.
- Exercise skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issues.
- Manages multiple projects at a time.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field with 3 years of experience in master planning, programming, and developing & delivering large, complex facilities or capital projects. .
- Experience with USACE, AFCEE, NAVFAC or DOE construction programs is a plus
- Experience with MII, PACES, RSMeans, Success Estimator or similar estimating software applications is desired
- Ability to think creatively and independently, lead projects, task assignments and work as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team.
- Able to participate in multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to build effective relationships with Client, Engineering, Construction, and Vendor personnel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must.
- Solid computer skills, MS Office suite of software, ability to quickly learn company software
- Strong team player willing to assist other team members.
