AKC is Hiring an Event Operations Representative Near Raleigh, NC
As part of a self-directed work team, the Event Show Plans Operations Representative facilitates the efficient functioning of the Event Operations Department by providing knowledgeable and proactive customer service for Conformation and Obedience events. This role performs detailed analysis and processing of information supplied by customers and the appropriate application of rules, regulations, procedures, and Board policies related to event applications and judges' panels. The Event Show Plans Ops Rep must work with other AKC teams and multiple levels of management within the AKC to provide customer satisfaction and issue resolution. May be required to perform other departmental duties as assigned. *This position requires onsite in our Raleigh office. Primary Job Duties
Supports internal and external customers including exhibitors, event chairpersons, show secretaries, superintendents, clubs, judges, and AKC management.
Evaluate event information and anticipate possible verification and validation issues. Resolves issues by communicating with customers and applying business knowledge. Information may be received digitally or by postal mail.Periodic review of items pending approval or completion must also be performed.
Assists customers with the interpretation and enforcement of AKC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Digitally scans and indexes events and other pertinent documentation.
Communicate with customers using email and telephone calls.Answers inquiries regarding the status of event applications and judge panels. Documents customer interactions.
Assists customers with the use of the AKC website by answering questions concerning navigation and the use of features.
Serves as the primary AKC point of contact for a club's event processing prior to an event.The Event Operations Representative often serves in the role as an account manager for the club, event, or cluster of events.
Periodically reviews processing reports to identify events that need review and attention.
Required Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Competency Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to analyze information and isolate a situation before it escalates.
Must be able to function in a high-stress environment, perform tasks with minimal direction, and maintain heavy production requirements.
