Preferred Skills and Qualifications of our Outside Sales Representative (Senior Business Development Advisor):
5 years of experience selling in a business-to-business environment is preferred.
Bachelors degree in business (or related field) is preferred or equivalent experience.
Cold Calling Expertise: Comfort and experience with cold calling (70-100 calls per day when not in the field) and emailing as primary outreach methods to potential clients.
Available to Travel: Must be able to commit to 38% national travel, with opportunity to transition into virtual sales model if desired.
Sales Acumen: A solid understanding of B2B sales principles and customer service practices, with the ability to overcome objections, close deals, and meet sales targets.
Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in verbal and written communication, necessary for effective lead generation, client interaction, and internal coordination.
Presentation and Closing Ability: Ability to make high level sales presentations in-person and via electronic means to small and large groups.
Experience with Lead Generation: Familiarity with lead generation tools and techniques and the ability to qualify and manage leads efficiently.
Proficiency in CRM Software: Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, for tracking customer interactions and sales progress.
Driven to Succeed: Must be self-motivated, self-directed and self-starting. Must be proactive in pivot to in-person outreach in addition to cold calling.
Customer Relationship Management: Skills in building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Adaptability and Learning Ability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, particularly in understanding and utilizing our company's products and services.
Software: Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe, Zoom, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot.
