The Lucy School in Middletown, Maryland, is seeking a Business Manager. This position serves as a staff resource supporting the Head of School, fulfilling school administrative needs in finance, buildings and grounds, and personnel.
Essential Functions:
Maintains an accurate filing, record-keeping, and reporting system for all school financial matters.
Manages school accounting system through QuickBooks
Reconciles all accounts monthly.
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for the school and the School Board
Prepares staff payroll utilizing Bamboo.
Manages billing and reimbursements.
Prepares, administers, and reviews the budget process with the Head of School and Finance Committee.
Manages tuition collection through the FACTS platform and oversees billing for extra-curricular programming.
Serves as a resource to the school board in financial matters, from planning to auditing.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and payroll processing.
Knowledge of financial statement preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and accounts receivable reporting.
Accrual accounting and journal entry experience is mandatory.
Knowledge of tuition management systems, such as FACTS.
Budgeting preparation.
