Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Director of Nurse to join our Dialysis team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional medical services in a dialysis setting.

Patient Care Administration
1. Provide oversight and direction to all direct care staff that provide dialysis and nursing care in the facility.
2. Participate in the development of all patient care policies and ensure implementation of such policies in the dialysis facility.
3. Coordinate nursing services with other patient care services such as medical services, social workers and diet therapy services.
4. Meet with staff nurses and ancillary staff to discuss specific patient problems.
5. Organize regular meetings with staff and all members of the health care team to discuss patient care plans.
6. Ensure that all patient care plans are updated as required by state, federal and facility policies.
7. Ensure in conjunction with Administrator that patient medical records are current and maintained and documented on a continuing basis.
8. Ensure that all charting needs are met in accordance to facility and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
9. Serve as a resource person for patient problems and needs conferring with patients as necessary.
10. Maintain staff/physician schedules as applicable, post any schedules and confer with Medical Director in this regard.
11. Maintain master daily patient schedule and coordinate information flow between hospitals, transitional settings and dialysis facility.
12. Evaluate patients nutritional status in conjunction with dietitian and physicians. If patient meets criteria for IDPN, assist in processing.
13. Ensure that the interdisciplinary team provides each patient with individualized and comprehensive assessment of their needs.
