Job Summary

This position is located at Bristol Family Medicine.

The Department of Family Medicine is accepting applications for a Patient Care Representative. The Patient Care Representative works under the general supervision of the Center Manager performing medical front office duties. Job duties involve the following:

  • Provide excellent customer service by maintaining friendly/professional interactions with patients
  • Computerized appointment scheduling via telephone and face-to-face while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Performing data entry of over-the-counter charges and payments
  • Handling patient registration and certification of patient demographics
  • Assisting in creating, filing, maintaining, and retrieving medical records
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with two years office experience

OR

  • At least one year of post-high school course-level work with one year of office experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Similar experience in medical front office (including knowledge of managed care insurance, CPT- and ICD- coding, cashiering, and appointment scheduling)
  • Experience with electronic health records (Allscripts preferred)
  • Experience with practice management software (Allscripts PM preferred)
  • Experience with telephone customer service on a multi-line phone system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,746.00 per year
