Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Psychiatric APN will provide psychiatric services to clients in our IOP/OP substance use programs. Responsibilities include assessment and diagnosis, medication monitoring and reviews, writing prescriptions, MAT waiver to manage and subscribe Suboxone

Duties;

  • Provide clinical interviews to gather information from clients and clients families to develop a course of treatment.
  • Complete psychiatric assessments and written evaluations.
  • Experience/certified in handling Substance medication such as Suboxone etc.
  • Obtain comprehensive health histories; perform or request special diagnostic and laboratory tests; interpret test results and develop comprehensive psychiatric treatment plans.
  • Provide medication monitoring.
  • Provide limited on-call coverage
  • Provide education to outpatient and residential clients and their families.
  • Maintain necessary and appropriate documentation for all services provided in compliance with regulatory requirements policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing personnel to plan, implement, and evaluate programs to ensure competent and effective clinical practices that advance programmatic goals and strengthen the systems that support quality patient care
  • Adhere to best care practices, industry standards, organizational guidelines, appropriate accreditation standards, and applicable federal and state laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR.
  • Comply with all quality improvement practices and procedures.
  • Participate in the development of provider relationships with the appropriate entities, i.e., managed care companies; federal, state, and county agencies; and private funding sources
