Social Recovery Center is an established and growing Substance Use Disorder outpatient treatment facility. We provide Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient and Co-occuring level of care treatment in a beautiful, newly renovated facility in Springfield, NJ. We strive to provide person centered services to anyone struggling with addiction regardless of what stage of recovery the client is at. Duties:
- The part time counselor carries a caseload of approximately 5 clients and is responsible for facilitating a minimum of 3-4 groups per week.

-Conducts assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment plan for clients
- Provides individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse issues
- Develops and implements person centered treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
- Monitors clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on ASAM criteria
- Educates clients on the effects of substance abuse and provides strategies for relapse prevention
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date client records

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field and a minimum of two years experience working with clients with Substance Use Disorders.
- State licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor, LAC or LSW
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for substance abuse disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical documentation, assessment and organizational skills
- Ability to establish rapport with clients and create a supportive therapeutic environment
- Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines for counseling practices
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity
