MDW Associates is Hiring a Program Analyst (Junior) Near Washington, DC

MDW Associates is seeking candidates with a background as a Program Analyst (Junior) to support our Navy customer in Washington, D.C.
Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Interpreting and applying pertinent regulations and style manuals governing written communications to prepare written materials that communicate the intended information.
  • Assisting with prioritizing and responding to emergent data drills, requiring appropriate knowledge of databases and metric analysis to ensure organizational responses, justifications, etc., meet established requirements.
  • Supporting the review of DoD and DON, Congressional Request for Information (RFI), and review of Navy, NAVSEA, or PEO Ships policies.
  • Providing support and advice on Human Resources (HR) activities, such as advising hiring managers on potential hiring strategies; and preparing draft hiring packages.
  • Researching and analyzing data, issues, and information that support project recommendations or the work assignments of higher-grade specialists.
  • Preparing well-researched and logically organized presentations related to work assignments.
  • Presenting facts, issues, and positions that convey the intended information with the appropriate diplomacy and emphasis.
  • Knowing commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Providing administrative services to include reception and message services, and events coordination (site planning, and guest/logistics support).
  • Coordinating meetings and adjudicating schedule conflicts.
  • Providing meeting minutes and agendas, relying on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Working under immediate direction.
Required Experience & Qualifications :
  • Zero (0) to four (4) years' general programmatic experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or similar entity.
  • In addition, 1) the ability to follow instructions and be an effective team member for the program acquisition and life cycle management staff; 2) Experience in use of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required. Experience with data analysis, graphics, and data visualization preferred.
Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:
  • A. or B.S. degree in related field with zero to two years' experience, or an associate degree (AD) with two or more years' experience in program management or operations support.
Clearance Requirement(s):
  • Candidates for this position must be eligible to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret level security clearance; Candidates with a current Secret clearance preferred.
