AssuredCare LTC is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician Near Barboursville, WV

Pharmacy Technicians Needed! We will train you if no pharmacy experience!

Our long-term care pharmacy is looking to add only exceptional people to our team and we offer competitive pay.

Join a pharmacy environment where you're not dealing with the public! Our private pharmacy setting will allow you to get your technician work completed with minimal outside interference. Your day-to-day will mostly be dealing with other pharmacy team members. It's an ideal change of pace for those experienced in other types of pharmacy work.

Full-time hours available. Experience is strongly preferred, but no required. This opportunity is for a certified technician or technician trainee who enjoys filling prescriptions for long-term care facilities or in specialized packaging. Technicians may also handle customer calls and problem solving, order entry, plus more.

Responsibilities include:

Working with our packaging machine to fill prescriptions

Double checking cycle fills for accuracy

Understanding various pre-packaging methods and cycle fills vs. daily fills/refills

Following health and safety protocols and quality measures

Order Entry

Processing refills and working rejected claims

Calling insurances for overrides and prior authorization help

Inventory Management

Reports directly to the pharmacist and lead technician

All duties are performed under the supervision of the Pharmacist In Charge

Facilitate communication between facility and pharmacy.

Customer service liaison.

Must be able to pass background check/drug screen

Maintains legal compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations, accrediting body standards and anticipates emerging issues.
