Position Summary:

The IT Operations Engineer will have a strong background in lifecycle services, DevOps, user security, data migration using Excel templates, performing software upgrades, issue tracking and resolution, bug logging, and preferably some project management experience. This role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and software systems, managing security and user access, and overseeing data migration projects.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lifecycle Services: Manage the entire lifecycle of IT systems, from planning and deployment to maintenance and retirement.
  • DevOps: Implement and maintain DevOps practices to streamline software development and deployment processes.
  • User Security: Monitor and enhance user security, access controls, and data protection measures.
  • Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration projects, especially using Excel templates for structured data.
  • Software Upgrades: Perform system and software upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on users.
  • Issue Searches: Investigate and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
  • Bug Logging: Maintain a system for logging and tracking software bugs, working with development teams for resolution.
  • Project Management: Provide project management support, coordinating tasks, timelines, and resources for IT initiatives.
  • Organization: Maintain an organized and efficient IT environment, ensuring documentation and processes are well-structured and up to date.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Knowledge/Experience

  • 5 years with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Systems
  • Experience with PowerBI and reporting
  • Proven ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) application experience

Skills

  • Strong experience in IT operations and system administration.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with user security and data protection best practices.
  • Experience with data migration, including the use of Excel templates.
  • Prior experience with software upgrades and issue resolution.
  • Basic project management skills or the ability to organize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Database developing stored procedures, writing complex SQL queries, designing custom databases, resolving data integrity issues, backup, and maintenance, ETL.
