Role within the organization:

This position will be responsible for building and maintaining custom software solutions for our recreation sports ministry partners as well as the business operations to service those partners. This position can be remote, ideally living within a 3-hour radius of Spartanburg, SC.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with Senior level IT to extend Upward’s mission by building key technology components that allow

Upward to effectively serve its ministry and alleviate administrative overhead.

• Ensuring security at the forefront is a priority by designing and building software solutions from online

registration platforms to custom native applications.

• Assist with building and maintaining a robust suite of integrations with third party service providers to

enable Upward’s custom development efforts to focus on its core competencies.

• Being a critical member of the IT team who can assist in any aspect of front-end design or development

needed across multiple applications and technologies and will be a key influencer on the technologies selected.

• Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud
• Git
• Redis
• API integrations
• HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Modern front-end framework development (VUE.js and/or React Native is preferred)
• Typescript experience
