Title : Assembler

Location : Colorado Springs CO 80915

Duration : 06 Months Contract (Temp to Hire)

Shift : 2:00 pm to 10:30 if overtime is required, end time would be 12:30 am.

Pay rate : $20.00/hr.

Job Description:

Will be using standard size forklifts, no experience needed

Position Summary: Performs repetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterous movements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

· Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.

· Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality. Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.

· Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.

· May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.

· Follows clear assembly/test instructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping.

· Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures. Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site.

· Completes required documentation related to production.

· Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.

· Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.

· Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.

· Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.

Position Requirements

Formal Education Required:

High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/tech school coursework, hobbies, etc.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.

· Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

· Must be able to climb and descend stairs.

· Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.

· Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

· May work indoors and outdoors as needed.

· Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.

· May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required. May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
