Regent's Portfolio Transformation Group is responsible for actively driving operational change, reshaping business models of portfolio companies (PortCo), and optimizing processes to boost value and financial performance.
Job Location: Beverly Hills, CA.
Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Evaluation & Planning: Scrutinize and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, optimize business models and processes, and amplify value and profitability at both a granular and strategic level. Develop and prioritize quarterly, annual, and long-term strategic goals.
  2. Project Execution & Management: Lead day-to-day project execution, ensuring successful delivery within the scope of engagement, including comprehensive project planning, process management, and communicating progress to PortCo stakeholders and Regent leadership.
  3. Technical Expertise: Offer advanced-level technical expertise in managing PortCo relationships, delivering service and practice management.
  4. Transitions & Restructurings Management: Supervise and direct PortCo transitions and restructurings. Provide technical expertise, conduct analyses, and guide both Regent and PortCo staff.
  5. Work Product Review & Management: Review work products, financial statements, models, and reports for accuracy and completeness. Manage project assignments within scope, budgeted time, and delivery commitments. Help resolve analytical and technical problems as they arise.
  6. Financial & Data Analysis: Apply business, economics, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to various client situations. Synthesize and analyze large volumes of data associated with complex restructuring, turnaround, and transformation cases.
  7. Relationship Management: Actively manage and build relationships within multiple PortCos and Regent. Engage with the PortCo organization to develop a strategic agenda.
  8. Presentations & Meetings: Conduct and lead presentations and meetings with senior PortCo representatives.
  9. Team Development & Leadership: Provide mentorship and coaching to junior Portfolio Transformation members, fostering skill development through knowledge sharing, regular feedback, and creating opportunities for learning and growth.
  10. Cross-Functional Contributions: Contribute to other Regent projects by sharing expertise, best practices, and innovative ideas.
  11. Process Enhancement: Contribute to the development of the Portfolio Transformation department, including improving methodologies, tools, techniques, and formulating new ideas and approaches.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
  2. 7 years of experience in Restructuring, Private Equity, Consulting, or similar Professional Services environment.
  3. Experience with bankruptcy processes and procedures, restructuring distressed companies, or related financial, analytical experience.
  4. Excellent project management skills with proven team management capabilities.
  5. This role is based onsite at Regent, LP Headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA, and requires travel to clients and portfolio company offices.
  6. Ability to travel up to 50%.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Regent, L.P. includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $150,000 per year to $200,000 per year.
