```Job Summary```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of payroll systems, and the ability to work with confidential information.

```Duties```
- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and verify timesheets, wages, deductions, and other payroll-related information
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits
- Calculate and process payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes
- Generate payroll reports for management review
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance

To succeed in this role, the Payroll Specialist should have the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems for payroll processing (e.g., Paychex, Ceridian)
- Ability to accurately calculate wages, deductions, and taxes
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll (e.g., journal entries, account reconciliation)
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data for accuracy
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll inquiries
