Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida is seeking out a Communication Coordinator. This individual will serveCoordinate clerical functions for the media distribution center. Maintain the integrity of scanned documents as they pertain to the patient charts.

Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida’s state-of-the-art, 36,000 square-foot facility incorporates the latest in leading-edge technology in order to provide optimal care for patients who have bone, joint, muscle and spine problems. Our office includes five Centers of Excellence and a full Physical Therapy and Occupational/Hand Therapy division, which work in close coordination with our physicians to provide non-operative, preoperative, post-operative and preventive care.
Responsibilities:
- Scan all essential documents into the practice computer system.
- Receive, sort and distribute mail to proper department and practice personnel.
- Manage all incoming faxes from the central fax system, load documents in patient electronic medical record.
- Task documents in patient’s medical record to appropriate staff for completion.
- Ensure faxed documents are received in their entirety.
- Verify outgoing faxes were received successfully.
- Distribute all faxed documents to proper department and practice personnel.
Qualifications:

·Minimum one year of general medical office experience

High School diploma or GED required
