DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experienced pipefitter assignments would include basic to moderately complex projects related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of utility supply and drain systems. May also direct and perform street, sidewalk, and fire hydrant repairs. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

· Performs and/or assists with moderately complex sewer and water pipefitting in order to maintain and/or repair sewer and water utility lines

· Performs and directs street, sidewalk repairs and landscaping reclamation

· Examines and understands system maps, records, and work directives

· Locates existing facilities utilizing appropriate equipment

· Cleans, organizes, and accounts for hand tools and miscellaneous equipment at the job site

· Prepares project progress reports and all related paperwork

· Evaluates progress of work for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with standards and specifications

· Investigates and resolves customer complaint and inquiries relating to service

REQUIREMENTS:

· Valid driver’s license along with a good driving record

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Available to work overtime and report to work after hours in response to emergencies

· Ability to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold

Pay: $19.57 - $24.47 per hour
