Summary Description:
- Heavy Duty Inside sales representatives work in an office environment selling products to customers with heavy-duty vehicles.
- Heavy Duty Inside sales representatives should build rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Heavy Duty Inside Sales, representatives are responsible for gaining new leads and converting them to ongoing customers through relationship building.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets customers promptly and courteously.
- Answers telephone promptly and minimizes hold calls.
- Takes orders over the phone.
- Maintains customer addresses, telephone numbers, etc. up to date.
- Sells products to customers via telephone and counter.
- Attempts sales of additional items, parts, and/or accessories.
- Assists outside sales and customers in locating parts.
- Ensures that the outside sales and customers receive parts in a timely manner.
- Maintains ongoing effective communication with customers and outside sales regarding parts.
- Answer customers' questions about pricing, products, availability, and product features.
- Stays informed about products and services.
- Ensures that product catalogs are current.
- Reads catalogs to determine new parts on the market.
- Locates other vendors who have the part if it isn't in stock.
- Recommends substitute parts if parts aren’t available.
- Maintains an updated call log of part inquiries from phone calls.
- Keeps himself/herself groomed per MSP guidelines.
- Performs other tasks as required by the Inside Sales Manager or Upper Management.
