Canyon Kitchen is an extraordinary farm to table restaurant located in Cashiers, NC, one of the most beautiful natural settings in the country. We source much of our produce from our own gardens and other food items from only the finest regional markets.

Front of House responsibilities include but are not limited to communicating with residents and their guests, coordinating detailed reservations to create a premier dining experience. An ability to conduct themselves in a professional and positive manner, consistently. Willingness and ability to learn and assist in operational side work of Canyon Kitchen. Works closely with the restaurant managers and other management to ensure every guest and resident enjoys a creative, satisfying dining experience in an unhurried and uniquely, stunning setting.

Host:

• Communicate with residents and guests.
• Operate reservation system on OpenTable through intake and management of reservations.
• Answer guest questions on dining, upcoming events, the community and amenities.
• Serve as first impression for guests by welcoming them with enthusiasm and a warm smile
• Handle to go orders as they come in through phone.
• Assist other FOH team members as necessary by preparing tables and sitting guests at reservation times.
• Construct, maintain and communicate floor plans to fellow team members as needed.
• Handle guest complaints via phone or in person as needed.
• Communicate with residents in regards to Lonesome Valley events

Hourly Wage plus Service Charge Distribution equaling $15-$25 per hour

Server Assistant:

• Coordinate with FOH and BOH to ensure a smooth service
• Run food according to seat positions without auctioning
• Properly identify dishes and communicate with guests
• Efficiently clear tables completely and correctly to allow for timely table flips
• Assist service staff with any necessary tasks for success of service

Hourly Wage plus Service Charge Distribution equaling $15-$25 per hour

Server:

• Delivers a genuine and engaging environment to all guests of Canyon Kitchen
• Ability to discuss menu items with knowledge of history, “sense of place” and culinary preparation
• Willingness to learn and expand detailed knowledge of all food and beverage offerings
• Ability to follow and embrace detailed upscale serving etiquette and procedures
• Lend consistent assistance to all fellow employees to promote seamless operations
• Communicate professionally and effectively to guests, team and management
• Lend suggestions and guidance to guests for a premiere dining experience
• Develop authentic relationships and rapport with guests & residents
• Assist in development of guest history, special requests, & dietary needs
• Communicate changes effectively and brings important information to management’s attention
• Handle, deliver and remove food and beverage in a hygienic and professional manner
• Provide awareness of restaurant happenings and take ownership of guest experience
• Understands and embraces a unified culture of service and hospitality
• Collaborates and interacts cohesively with all management and other department leaders
• Operates within all State and Federal laws and regulations

Hourly Wage plus Service Charge Distribution equaling $25-$35 per hour with potential for Additional Gratuity
