M&M Decorating Center is Hiring a Store Clerk Near Cañon City, CO
Store clerk duties includes providing over-the-counter direct sales to customers, taking orders in-person and by phone, and supports the overall success of store operations through promotion of sales programs and other customer and team-related activities.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
Minimum of 1 year of Retail experience.
5 years of customer service experience. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High degree of analytical skills, and the ability to delegate and be self-directed.
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
Technically skilled in basic retail computer systems including related software.
Develop and maintain client relationships and strategic partnerships.
Dress according to company policy.
Possess a valid in-state driver license
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists.
Develop and maintain knowledge of current flooring products, trends, and installation methods
Build relationships with customers, assess their needs, and offer appropriate flooring options
Prepare accurate proposals for customers to include determining all labor and material requirements for each installation project
Communicate clearly with staff on customer and project details
Enter and track customer interactions in software system
Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Working as a team and individually to service the customers
Mixing and preparing paint for customers and deliveries
Putting away and organizing stock in store
Assisting and completing tasks and special projects
Ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
Maintain high level of product knowledge.
Answering phone calls and responding to emails.
Physical Requirements The minimum physical requirements for this position include: Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties. Move and handle merchandise up to 50 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
