We are seeking a Certified Peer Specialist Youth. The Certified Peer Specialist Youth under general supervision provides peer support services focused on the Emerging Adult and Adolescent populations. Candidate is a young adult, with experience living with a mental health or substance use condition or both, who has received behavioral health services as a youth, is willing and able to self-identify as a person living with a behavioral health condition and is prepared to use that experience in helping other youth/young adults living with similar behavioral health conditions. CPS-Y will provide services that consist of rehabilitative skills building, development of environmental supports and resources coordination. Listed services are considered essential to assist a person in improving functioning, gaining access to necessary services by creating environments that promotes recovery and supports the emotional and functional improvement of the individual.
