Math & Reading Center in Shelton is looking for part-time assistants to assist in daily operational needs. This is an entry level position with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Instructor in implementing curriculum and lesson plans for students.

- Support classroom activities and Center Operations: assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining student's enrollment records, grading classwork and homework and recording grades.

- Provide individualized attention and support to children's learning needs

- Assist newly enrolled students acquire proper study approach, with class routine and development of good work skills.

- Helps students learn from worksheets and develops their self-learning skills according to the Kumon method.

- Collaborate with the Instructor to assess student progress and communicate with parents/guardians.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials

Requirements:

- Associate degree or higher preferred.

-Applicant must have understanding of higher levels Math (calculus) to assist students.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices desirable.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide individualized support
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a team

-Must be dependable and timely, maintain regular and consistent attendance.
