POSITION: Academic Support Teacher
POSITION TO BEGIN: August 2024
TERMS: Part Time
SALARY: Diocesan scale based on experience and qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have North Carolina teaching license or eligible to obtain a license
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
As a private, independent K-8 school we focus on assessment and development of the individual, not just assessments to a standardized test. We believe in the growth of the entire child and look for elementary and middle school teachers motivated to help our students thrive. We are a community that welcomes motivated students over just high IQ or high income students.
We have intentionally small classroom sizes so we can best focus on challenging each student.
REQUIREMENTS:
We seek creative, enthusiastic, inquiry-based teachers who are highly motivated to develop Our Student 3 C’s: Curious, Confident, and Connected Students. While our salary may not match public schools, we believe the benefits of our private Catholic school setting more than compensates.
Specific needs of teachers include:
- Well versed in various differentiation tools and techniques
- Strong interest in developing learners and leaders
- Demonstrated experience managing classroom setting
- Commitment to Catholic Education with a passion for using Christ’s virtues
- Willing to work with teams to support academics and promote our mission/vision
