We are looking for an Technical Implementation Specialist to join our organization and expertly navigate clients through the adoption of gWorks software, fostering robust usage, and facilitating a seamless handover to our Client Success Team. The initial implementation and onboarding is the first steps in empowering our clients to be successful in their utilization of the software. The Technical Implementation Specialist will be responsible for configuring the software based on gWorks’ best practices and the client’s policies. Software solutions may include those related to Accounting and General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, and Payroll among others used by municipal governments.

The ideal candidate has an enthusiastic, action-oriented attitude with a passion for client success and technology. Previous experience in a municipal front office or in municipal human resources is highly desired. You will apply your expertise in software and technology to lead clients through their onboarding and adoption of gWorks software, proactively monitor and gather information to improve our software, and provide client data and insights to the Client Success team in a collaborative setting. As a part of gWorks’ Operations team, your contributions will directly impact client satisfaction, as well as the overall success of our software solutions and our company.

Successful Technical Implementation Specialist have the following profile: a bias for action and initiative taking; intelligent and curious; and self-confident, ambitious, yet humble (what we call “humbitious”). An engagement style that is direct, goal-oriented, data-supported, and thoughtful is critical.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead clients through the adoption of gWorks software, including modules related to Accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, and Payroll
  • Act as the product expert for clients during onboarding, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to our software.
  • Manage multiple onboarding projects, proactively monitoring client progress and gathering information to improve the client experience.
  • Provide regular, focused coaching to clients to drive product adoption and utilization.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure client success and provide insights to the Client Success team.
  • Document and track onboarding project progress, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the process.
  • Identify areas for improvement in both onboarding and software functionalities.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of software improvements based on client feedback and onboarding experiences.

  • Software Utilization Rates
  • Product Feature Adoption

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of directly related experience, or a college degree in business, IT, or related field.
  • Experience effectively managing client onboarding and software adoption.
  • Software and technology experience, particularly SaaS.
  • A strong foundation in communication and organizational skills.
  • A track record showing effective application of a work ethic focused on balancing commitment, responsibility, authority, and accountability.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.

Bonus:

  • Experience in a municipal front office and/or municipal Human Resources function (Strongly Preferred)

gWorks is a hybrid work environment, and preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Omaha, Nebraska area. However, highly qualified candidates who reside outside of the local area and are able to work remotely will also be considered.
