POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Membership & Stakeholder Engagement to join our team at Growth Energy. The Director of Membership & Stakeholder Engagement will play a vital role in driving membership growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding revenue streams for the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and impact of the biofuels industry while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES :

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to identify and recruit new members, including ethanol producers, agricultural partners, and other stakeholders in the biofuels industry.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing plant and associate members, providing exceptional customer service and support to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Actively prospect and engage potential members through targeted outreach efforts, including phone calls, emails, networking events, and industry conferences.
  • Conduct strong in person and virtual presentations with biofuel plant governing boards and associate member leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling sales materials, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition of membership in Growth Energy.
  • Conduct needs assessments and consultative sales meetings with prospective members to understand their business objectives, challenges, and opportunities for engagement with the organization.
  • Negotiate membership agreements, pricing, and terms in accordance with organizational policies and objectives, striving to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics related to biofuels, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, member interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software, ensuring data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
  • Represent Growth Energy at industry events, trade shows, and speaking engagements, serving as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns, member communications, and branding initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and engagement with Growth Energy.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, agriculture, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of three years biofuels industry experience with a proven track record of success in sales or business development, with experience in membership-based organizations or the renewable fuels industry preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of market development and the liquid fuels environment.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office products, which include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
  • Experience compiling, analyzing, and prioritizing information for review and dissemination to internal/external audiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The fast-paced nature of this position for Growth Energy requires a consistent office presence. Employees are generally expected to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Location: Sioux Falls, SD or other location TBD

TRAVEL:

Travel up to 50% may be required.
