JOB TITLE: Production Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Guide your team to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Manage the production schedule to meet weekly and monthly shipping goals.
• Managing production operations to meet production schedules, quality, and cost objectives.
• Evaluate staffing and equipment needs and make recommendations as necessary.
• Regularly communicate the state of the production floor with the Director of Manufacturing.
• Continuously develop production supervisors and work with them to develop production employees.
• Promote quality and strive for continuous improvement.
• Oversee processes and equipment being used in production. Ensure compliance to procedures and seek opportunities for improvement.
• Responsible for hiring, monitoring, and evaluating staff. Manage employee issues and take corrective action as needed.
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to think strategically
• Training and project management skills
• Self-starter who can produce results with minimal guidance
• Must be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work well independently
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements as outlined in this position description

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 4-year degree in a related field, or equivalent years of experience in the same business environment.
