Children's Lighthouse North Center Chicago is Hiring an Assistant Infant Teacher Near Chicago, IL
Do you like to play games, laugh, snuggle and feed babies, and sing? Well you may be the right person to work with infants!
We are looking for warm loving teachers who are available for regular full time shifts, Monday-Friday. This position would be ideal for someone who wants an entry level position towards a career in early childhood. This is a permanent position so candidates must have ongoing availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide a loving, nurturing environment for babies to eat, sleep, learn and play
- Supervise, and engage with the students in the classroom
- Use games, and activities to teach new ideas with our curriculum
- Uphold the DCFS rules and regulations, in addition to the policies and procedures of Children's Lighthouse outlined in the employee handbook
- Have fun!
Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be certified
- Background Check/Reference Check
- Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work between the hours of 7am-6:30pm depending on scheduling
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Able to stand up to 90% of the day
- Able to stoop, bend and sit on a child's level
- Able to physically and mentally interact and react to children in the classroom and/or on the playground, and attend to their needs
