Position Overview
The Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Overdose Prevention, Tobacco Cessation, and HIV/ AIDS and Hepatitis education and coordination of care needs for patients at Charles River Recovery who are in the ATS and CSS level of care.
Specific Responsibilities
Providing educational groups on Medication Assisted Treatment, Overdose Prevention, Tobacco Cessation, and HIV/ AIDS and Hepatitis for ATS and CSS programs
Coordinating medication ordering and delivery between medical providers, insurances, and pharmacies
Maintain tracking of patients from start of care to completion related to the above responsibilities.
Works collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure appropriate and timely referrals for the continuation of patient care after discharge.
Problem-solve and keep leadership and providers informed of any issues relating to MAT, Overdose Prevention, Tobacco Cessation, and HIV/ AIDS and Hepatitis education and coordination of care needs and provide.
Perform phlebotomy for ordered blood labs in-house.
Ensure materials related to the above responsibilities remain stocked.
Assist with covering units as needed when there are callouts for nursing.
Meet the BSAS requirements for the designated Tobacco Education Coordinator
Provide staff education and training regarding medication assisted treatment, tobacco cessation, HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis as needed.
Maintain comprehensive documentation in the patient’s medical record including services provided and patient responses

Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse
Experience facilitating patient educational groups.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in substance use disorder treatment field.
40 hours per week 9 am-7 pm including Monday and Friday each week.
