American Howa Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a full-time Material Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Initial training of new forklift operators. (Lift Checks, Safety Dojo, Lift driving)
• Knowledge and ability to perform any and all material handler duties
• Coordinate Lift/Dock repairs with PM Company. Be able to explain to supervisor or PC Manager the need or reason for repair. Making sure Repairs are completed and verified in a timely manner.
• Maintain Random Lift Check Log
• Assist Supervisor with inventory issues and verifications
• Conduct Random Dock Audits of Shipments
• Provide Coverage for Vacation (off shift maybe required)
• Ensure warehouse 5s is maintained
• Assist and support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
• Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate stock levels
• Prepare and package materials for shipment
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to optimize workflow and efficiency
• Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Physical:

• Work activities may include lifting up 50 pounds or more frequently, standing or sitting for extended periods.
• This position will primarily be inside an industrial manufacturing facility, but there may be periods required outside.
• Bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling may be required daily.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Active KY Driver’s License
• Forklift certification
• Knowledge and ability to perform any and all material handler/shipping/receiving duties
• Ability to train others on any and all material handler/shipping/receiving duties
• 2 years related experience in manufacturing environment
• Must be task-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task with accuracy
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet departmental and team member’s needs
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in warehouse management or material handling preferred
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
• Mechanical aptitude for operating warehouse equipment
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
