Summary

Morris Heights Health Center (MHHC) is seeking enthusiastic Licensed Social Workers to join our expanding School Based Health Center Program. This program is a partnership with a variety of schools in the community to improve the well-being of children and families by providing onsite access to healthcare, including mental health and health education services. Social Workers will provide evaluations, psychotherapy and social services to students and their families. Essential responsibilities include:

• Completing screening and intake assessments
• Conducting individual, family and group psychotherapy that is focused and goal oriented as clinically determined
• Conducting crisis counseling as requested
• Developing preventive interventions as needed for the specific student population at the site
• Documenting all evaluations and treatment in accordance with MHHC protocols including regulatory requirements of JCAHO, DOH and DOE
• Collaborating and consulting with School Based Health Center team members: Medical Provider, Health Educator and School Health Assistants; will also consult with DOE staff as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will have at least a LCSW in New York along with three year of post Master's clinical experience or equivalent experience preferred working with children, adolescents and adults in a mental health setting. Should be able to demonstrate Age Related Competency, knowledge of growth and developmental stages from childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
