Position Description:
Our Heavy Equipment Operators operate trench excavators for the installation of water, sewer, and stormwater underground pipes. Operators are needed on all types of projects, such as highways and bridges, residential, and industrial construction. This position requires knowledge of how to bench slope and work around underground utilities. Operators may also be required to operator other equipment, including but not limited to loaders, skid steers, and compactors. Operators typically operate equipment for up to 10-12 hours per day and 5-6 days per week. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform light maintenance such as cleaning/greasing equipment, checking fluids, and fueling equipment. Some manual labor required such as shoveling.
McAninch Corporation utilizes CAT equipment. Applicants should be proficient with CAT controls and have experience running CAT 345, 349, or 352 excavators.

Our operators earn up to $36.90 per hour, depending on experience. McAninch pays 100% of all benefits, including health insurance premiums and pension dues, as provided by Local 234 Operators Union. Our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is a 100% company-funded retirement plan that awards shares in McAninch Corporation without a penny coming out of your paycheck. Additionally, McAninch includes all union employees in the ESOP, so we are truly 100% employee owned!
Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week and employees are paid weekly on every Friday.
McAninch Corporation is a seasonal construction contractor. Our active season typically lasts from mid-April through mid-December. Applicants should be aware that year-round work is not guaranteed.
