IT Specialist - Mid (w/ active Secret)

Location: Bridgeport, CA Clearance: Secret Full-time, On-Site

JOB DESCRIPTION

Critical Solutions has an immediate need for a IT Specialist - Mid. This role will assist information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation projects. The IT Specialist will also conceptualize, design, construct, test, and implement portions of business and technical Information Technology (IT) solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
• Define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Collect, identify, define, and organize detailed user and IT requirements.
• Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
• Confirm and prioritize project plans and deliverables with the customer.
• Participate in business and technical IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement, and conversions.
• Apply metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria.
• Prepare system documentation.
• Establish and maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents.
• Analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems using appropriate tools.
• Participate in special studies and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• US Citizen and active DoD Secret Clearance
• High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and 4 Years of Experience
• Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification
• Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification and an Operating System (OS)/Application certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching)
• Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification

LOCATION:

• Bridgeport, CA.
• Onsite. No Remote
• Must be able and willing to commute to work location.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance or higher. In addition, selected candidate must undergo background investigation (BI) and finger printing by the federal agency and successfully pass the preceding to qualify for the position. US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED due to the nature of the government contracts we support.

CRITICAL SOLUTIONS PAY AND BENEFITS:

Salary range $70,000 - $90,000. The salary range for this position represent the typical salary range for this job level and this does not guarantee a specific salary. Compensation is based upon multiple factors such as responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and other requirements.
