NetOps Specialist - Senior (w/ active Secret)Location: Barstow, CATravel Required: 10% of the time

JOB DESCRIPTION

Critical Solutions has an immediate need for a NetOps Specialist - Senior. The Senior Network Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing enterprise network operations and engineering support for a broad range of programs. This will include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the Agency's network on the program.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Network Operations
  • Oversee incident resolution, ensuring appropriate response to escalations
  • Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery
  • Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues
  • Oversee daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues
  • Work with Cyber Security analysts to ensure Enterprise information flow is secure
  • Ensures effective and efficient operation of network systems, architecture and topology
  • Monitor to ensure all operating systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and procedures
  • Receive and analyze network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts.
  • Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution.
  • Assists with the development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levels
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the Network Operations Center
  • Participate in strategic network and operations planning
  • Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies
  • Prepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensics
  • Assist the Cyber Team employ approved defense-in-depth principles and practices (e.g., defense-in-multiple places, layered defenses, and security robustness). Assist with the collection of intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, and trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation of potential computer network defense (CND) incidents within the enterprise.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • US Citizen and active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, EE, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10 years of general experience and 7 years of relevant experience
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III certification AND must possess at least two of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Routing and Switching, CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
  • Must be able to obtain CCNP within six month if already possess CCNA

LOCATION:

  • Barstow, CA.
  • Onsite. No Remote
  • Must be able and willing to commute to work location.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance or higher. In addition, selected candidate must undergo background investigation (BI) and finger printing by the federal agency and successfully pass the preceding to qualify for the position. US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED due to the nature of the government contracts we support.

CRITICAL SOLUTIONS PAY AND BENEFITS:

Salary range $90,000 - $116,000. The salary range for this position represent the typical salary range for this job level and this does not guarantee a specific salary. Compensation is based upon multiple factors such as responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and other requirements.
